ABOUT US
The Spot Pal Story
At Spot Pal, we're revolutionizing oral health by harnessing the power of the "magic muscle" - your tongue. Our journey began with a profound realization: the tongue, often overlooked, holds the key to transforming lives. This insight led our founder, Janine Stiene, to develop our patented, custom-fitted tongue training device that empowers individuals of all ages to achieve optimal oral posture, leading to improved breathing, speech clarity, and overall well-being.
Janine Stiene (MA, CCC-SLP, TSHH) is the visionary behind Spot Pal. As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicap, and trained Myofunctional Therapist, Janine brings over 24 years of experience to our mission.
JOURNEY
From Long Island Speech to Spot Pal
Long Island Speech
Since 2004, Janine has been at the forefront of speech and myofunctional therapy in New York. What began as a small privately-owned speech practice has grown into Long Island Speech - the largest privately-owned insurance-based speech pathology practice on the east coast and the largest insurance-based Myofunctional practice nationwide.
Growing Medical Practice
With nine locations across Long Island, our exceptional team of speech pathologists have been helping families overcome speech, feeding, and auditory processing disorders, combining expertise from various fields: Speech-Language Pathology, Myofunctional Therapy, Orthodontics, and Sleep Science.
The Birth of Spot Pal
Through her extensive work in speech pathology and myofunctional therapy, Janine identified a crucial gap in treatment options. She recognized that issues often overlooked by medical professionals - such as difficulties in eating, chewing, or swallowing - can be indicators of larger problems like tongue thrust or swallowing disorders. This realization led to the creation of Spot Pal.
Our mission
At the heart of Spot Pal is a desire to awaken the world to the extraordinary impact of tongue posture on health and performance. We're not just a company; we're pioneers of a movement that recognizes the tongue as a cornerstone of human well-being.
We invite you to discover the Spot Pal difference and take the first step towards a healthier, more confident you.
